Work Days

Throughout the year, the library has work days with the goal of completing specific projects. Stay tuned for future updates on the next work day!

Service hours are available for workday participation, and you can come for the whole workday or for any portion. Participants must be at least 13 years old, and a parent or guardian is required to sign a waiver on behalf of those under the age of 18. Waivers can be downloaded from the link at the bottom of this page.

On work days, we will meet at the trail head at the far end of the Laura's Library parking lot, and if you come later, head down the trail until you find the group. Please bring work gloves and, if you have them, hand tools that can help remove plants (weeders, hand trowels). Wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes and head coverage.

The Madrone Canyon is a five acre natural area between the Laura Bush Library and the TRI complex. Check out Maxson's Eagle Scout Project that accounts for the trees.

The library is committed to supporting the canyon and trail with the help of the Madrone Stewards. To become a Steward, contact Autumn Solomon at
